New Canadians – First Five Years
Immigration demands careful planning
to ensure smooth transition into a new environment. Successful
settlement very much depends upon economic wellbeing, which is
certainly a prerequisite. In most cases the advance economic
projections are the criteria to make the decisions to emigrate.
Studies indicate that
professionals and entrepreneurs take up to five years or more from
the time of their arrival into Canada to become sufficiently
conversant with the market conditions in Canada before they become
fully effective within their professions and/or lines of business.
One of JOR’s on-going studies indicate that such
individuals, each face an aggregated reduction in earnings and/or
opportunity costs in excess of one hundred thousand dollars within
this five-year period. Another study by JOR shows a
very large number of immigrants, both professionals and
entrepreneurs under-perform for prolonged periods of time. In some
cases under-performance becomes permanently accepted. Individual
losses of up to two-thirds of the potential lifetime earnings are
not uncommon in such cases.
The anxiety to face the unknown is
eliminated and the losses are greatly reduced through the JOR
Business Program for entrepreneurs or the Professional
Performance Program for professionals who are contemplating
emigration to Canada or those who have already arrived in Canada.
Those who have not yet arrived in
Canada but have already been accepted for emigration to Canada by
the Canadian authorities may register for the JOR Business
Program or the Professional Performance Program
in advance, while they are still in their countries of origin. This
way they become fully aware of all the options that are going to be
available to them when they arrive in Canada. The JOR
services are commenced upon registration and successfully completed
after their arrival in Canada.
The JOR services are
also available to those who are contemplating emigration to Canada
but have not yet applied for or are waiting to receive their
official authorization to enter Canada. They are able to learn about
their economic possibilities in Canada.
The services rendered by JOR
may not influence the decisions taken by the Canadian
authorities to process applications for emigration to Canada.
Those who are registered with the
JOR Business Program or the Professional
Performance Program are able to continue with the JOR
services after their arrival into Canada as landed
immigrants and achieve the desired results soon thereafter. |
